Watch the FILMharmonic Orchestra at work on a live scoring session in Prague. From the first downbeat to the final stem delivery — this is what a MUSA session looks and sounds like.
Whether you're directing remotely from Los Angeles or sitting in the control room with us, every session is run with the same precision, energy, and commitment to your vision.
Session length depends on the score's complexity and the size of the ensemble. Smaller indie projects typically require one to two sessions (3–4 hours each); major studio scores may span several sessions across a week or more. We'll estimate your session timeline during the quote process based on your minute count and orchestration.
Absolutely — and it's our most popular option. Our remote scoring setup includes Source Live, Audiomovers — Listen To, and real-time talkback directly to the conductor. Composers and directors have run sessions from LA, London, Tokyo, and beyond without ever setting foot in Prague. We handle the time-zone logistics too.
All MUSA recordings are 100% buyout: orchestra contracting, conductor, studio engineers, venue, music preparation, session recording, mixing, and stem delivery. You receive total IP ownership in perpetuity with no residuals and no ongoing licensing fees. The contract is straightforward. What you pay is all you pay.
Yes. We deliver stems and mixed sessions in whatever format your post-production pipeline requires — stereo or 5.1. Our engineers work closely with your mix team to ensure the orchestral sessions translate cleanly into your final audio format. Just let us know your delivery specs upfront and we'll record and route accordingly.
Our typical lead time is 1–6 weeks from confirmed booking to session day, which covers orchestra contracting, venue securing, and music preparation. We've accommodated rush projects in under two weeks when schedules align. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we have on dates, venue choice, and ensemble size. Don't wait until your picture lock — contact us as soon as your timeline is roughly known.
Whether you're scoring your first indie film or your tenth AAA title, tell us about your project and we'll come back with a timeline and quote — usually within 24 hours.
