Katalin Kramarics started her studies of music at the Bratislava Conservatory. In the years 1995 and 1996 she studied
at the Ferencz Liszt School of Music in Budapest with Prof. J. Balint, finishing her studies at the
Mozarteum in Salzburg, with Prof. M. M. Kofler. She obtained a number of awards in international flute
competitions: the “Concertino Praga“ in 1995, “The Prague Spring Festival“ in 1996 and 2001,
the “Leonardo de Lorenzo“ in Viggiano in 1997, one in Cremona in 2000, and yet another in Cracow,
Poland in 2002. Katalin Kramarics started playing with orchestras in 1999 in the Orchesterakademie
der Münchner Philharmoniker. In the season 2001/2002 she was a soloist of the Prague Symphony
Orchestra FOK, and since 2002, she is a member of the Gewandhaus Orchester in Leipzig, and at the same
time, of the Gewandhaus wind quintet.
