Jaromir Klepac studied with Prof. Fierlova in Ostrava and later was pupil of Prof. Pavel Stepan at the Academy
of Performing Arts in Prague. He won the Chopin Competition in Marienbad, a Competition in
Interpretation of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, and an International Competition for
piano duos. He came third in the International Music Competition of the Bavarian Radio in Munich, and
second at the Martinů Prix 1990 in Paris. Both as a soloist and member of various chamber
ensembles (duo, trio, quintet), he recorded a number of CDs for gramophone firms in Europe
(Supraphon, Panton, Praga - Harmonia Mundi, Calliope), and in the USA.
Jaromνr Klepac performed at concerts in most European countries, in America, Asia and Africa,
in halls, such as the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague, Grosses Saal - Salzburg, Konzil
in Constance, Semper Oper in Dresden, Eckhardt Gramatte Hall in Calgary, and others.
He teaches in master classes in Salzburg (Mozarteum Sommerakademie), as an assistant or coach,
he supervised piano and chamber performer courses in Telc (French Czech Academy), in Reykjavik
(College of Music), and in Edmonton (University of Alberta, Canada).
